~first impression: All~

Hi all, I am not one of the students who embarked on my first day of boarding school (congratulations to all of you by the way!) But I noticed a bunch of threads saying "my first day was_______" for all the different schools, and I was wondering if you guys could post your experiences on one thread, so that there could be a juxtaposition of everyone's experiences. state your school name above then talk about it, examp

LAWRENCEVILLE: today was fun but I was nervous.....I got lost...etc.

Thank you!

i like that idea cuz then it isnt separated by school and you can hear about everyone’s experiences and prospective students can compare

bump…come one guys!

My first day sophomore year was chill because Lawrenceville does a great job of slowly integrating students into the community. I arrived on campus five days before classes started and the first day of classes was only a half day!

My first day of senior year was awesome since I had been hanging out at school for over a week and already knew a few of my teachers from before. Senior year is looking good~

My first day as a new sophomore at Emma Willard was very … hectic.

Second day was much better. Anyway, my classes are all way cool, but I was sorta surprised by the extreme workload. Even on just the introduction day! It’s okay though, I’m getting it under control and things are getting easier. Settling in I guess. It really helped that I was here for the last two weeks for preseason. I feel as though I’ve been here for years.

I have a group of friends already, mostly new sophomores. We all seem to be sticking together, at least for now. I’m sure that we’ll spread out and integrate as we get more into the first semester. It’s only the third day.Dorm life is fun, i’m really enjoying it. It’s something to get used to and my first days of preseason were tough, but now I’m perfectly comfortable. The adjustment for me was quick, but I have friends who are still struggling with it.

Overall I’m really enjoying myself so far!
