First Impressions Are EVERYTHING!

marine— i actually wear leggings…

some girls should NOT though… but i look fine in them :P

Bahaha, I do too. As long as I’m not seeing something I shouldn’t be, everything’s fine (:

Turn OFFS:

Schools with no diversity. I don’t want to be the only 3/8 black person there.

Turn Off:
15. Colonial architecture. Makes me die a little inside shudder can’t stand it. Oh. and antique furniture in dorms coughwilliamandmarycough

Turn on:
14. Those needy college emails. The one’s that go “We’re afraid we’ve missed you!” hehe oddly enough I like them…

MarinebioSax - I only wear leggings without skirts when they actually look like tight pants… they’re always either denim-like, light cord, or pleather. Usually the shirts still cover my bum though x)

rebeccar - I’ve received those too! I’ve even gotten mail that said “You missed the deadline…” from schools I’ve had no intent on ever corresponding with! It’s just as bad when they try to butter you up, too… “a special deadline extension just for you!” or my personal favorite, “You deserve the world.”

^ Haha that’s cute! I have denim-like leggings, too.

Turn on:
15. Schools with an excellent music department. :D

Turn off:
16. Southern schools. I’m trying to leave -___-

bahaha oh colleges.

Another turn off: Virginia school. I am so sick of this state. xD

turn off:

cold weather schools ie new england where i’m forced to stay.

Aww but aside from the weather New England is an awesome college area! Take what you can get, mate! =)

turn off:

When random schools from Podunk, Tennessee send me hundreds and hundreds of postcards.
Followed up by emails.
And little pens…

Freshmen and sophomores: Please, think before you check off the box on the PSAT that asks you if you’d like to receive mail from colleges. -____-

lol yes it is… good schools like MIT within a two hour drive!

Turn off:
19. Adding on to Colonial architecture, Georgian Revival architecture. Arghh. It’s creepy and hollow looking.

Turn ons:
16. Sex positive campus.
17. Well used library.

turn off:
20. gothic architecture?

what do you mean sex positive?

CPU–i couldn’t be mature about it and had to giggle to myself, soweeeee! also, yes i agree, yale totally has the happiest students!

Marine–good tip, if only i had heard it a couple years ago! …except for the fact that i got a postcard from MITES in the mail so maybe it’s a good thing i checked the box?

turn on: when “parties” are considered to be a group of about twenty people playing board games such as risk, going outside at 11:30 (after curfew hehe) to play ghosts in the graveyard, having random dance parties where we all make fools of ourselves, and playing dirty charades (how might one act out “threesome in a library while a horse watches” or “seducing a potato”?)
^basically describes every saturday night during cross country season

Turn on:

Schools with multicultural-themed houses :)

turn on:
di-freaking-versity.

speaking of diversity, i went to a dance competition today and there was a chinese girl on one of the hip-hop teams; she was really good too! i was like oh yeeeeahhhh you go girl!

Haha. We had a step team in middle school, and a Korean girl was one of the captains. She was really good :p

Turn off:
21. Schools with a heavy Catholic influence.
I’m Catholic, but… it’s a no-go.

chinese girls can dance lol esp hip hop. well chinese people in general. in movies & even real life there’s always one asian…and hello… JABBAWOCKEES!?

CPU-- Here’s what the straight sex-positive movement is [Sex-positive movement - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia](Sex-positive movement - Wikipedia)
Also, just another association I personally make with sex-positive, low sexual assault rates. Couldn’t go anywhere they were too high, personally.

And I actually really like gothic architecture ahaha. Next there’ll be people on here defending colonial and georgian revival…

Edit: Oh, and I meant “straight sex-positive” as just the sex-pos movement. Sex-positive is associated with a bunch of different movements, most notably feminism.
