First offense SAP appeal

Hi forum! I registered myself into this site hoping to find someone that is willing to maybe review my SAP appeal for any issues, even if it's just a quick glance. I am going to speak with a professional on campus, but am hoping to get as much input as possible...

Here is the first draft that I wrote recently (I have omitted some information):

Date: ??? ID: ???
Name: ???

This letter is an attempt to address the Financial Aid suspension based on my academics.

Background:

I began my first term of college in early Fall 2011 at ABCDEFG Community College. My class schedule was [1], [2], [3], [4], and [5]. Throughout the term, I had acceptable grades; I did my classwork, homework, and participated in class and extracurricular groups such as [1] Club. I took the liberty of applying for academic aid to pay for course expenses such as books, material, and tuition for each class due to not having a job at the time and living with my adoptive grandparents.

My career goal at that time was unclear, because I wasn't properly informed. Regardless, I took responsibility by keeping my grade up, and keeping on task as best as I could. However, toward the end of the year, coming November, my grandmother had begun experiencing very concerning health difficulties. At the time, she was my adoptive guardian, and is to this day my means of survival (she provides my finances, food, and shelter). She has crippling osteoarthritis and osteoporosis, along with her existing heart conditions. Living in [State XYZ] at that time was not an option she was capable of handling. Because of that, my step-grandfather and I had to help her by moving to a warmer climate that would have some family. [State ABC] was then the only choice available. Because I have no other family willing to care for me, I was dependent on my guardians. The severity of the situation, along with its untimeliness, had therefore forced the decision of withdrawal at such an inconvenient time (as I had already passed the deadline for proper withdrawal).

Changes:

After having moved to [State ABC], I had slowly begun to piece my life together. I found a proper college to restart my career, only to hear of my Financial Aid suspension, which halted my plans for a while. Eventually, I found a job, which allowed for some academic progress -- I registered my first and only class. It wasn't until then that I realized what I truly wanted out of my career. I am now fully pursuing a medical career. My determination has allowed the ability to pay for my beginning course, General Chemistry I. With great pride, I am able to say that I am the a top student in my class. Now that I have seen my abilities, while working at a part-time job, I decided to try even harder. I am now fully determined to become the top student in all of my classes because I am capable of it.

Given my resolve, I have therefore dedicated myself to my studies. Unlike my average academics in ABCDEFG Community College, I now have exceptional grades. However, because of my high expectations and aspirations for my medical career, I have become determined to dedicate a very great amount of my time to my academic progress. For my next term, I plan to add three to four classes to my schedule. Alongside, I have also been collecting information on several intra-campus organizations that will complement my education, such as Phi Theta Kappa, the Honors Research Program, along with the Leadership Program, the Pre-Med Club, and their Student Government; all of which I am planning on joining to better myself. I am constantly participating in study sessions with my current professor, and several colleagues, and also studying on my own, using a variety of resources, to keep ahead in class.

As a pre-medical student majoring in Chemistry and without a doubt aspiring to someday study at Johns Hopkins Medical School, I will be needing any and all support for the necessary courses to come.

I hope that, with the background I had explained, one could allow me the chance to finally show exactly what I was meant for, as there is no other career I could imagine myself in other than one in which I am helping those that have helped me make it to where I am.

I will be providing records of my grandmother's health, along with a doctor's note on why it was best we moved from our previous climate, hopefully along with a statement from my professor proving my abilities.

Please let me know if I am missing anything. This is my first draft, and I was writing it in the AM, so I did not give it a lot of thought, I just wanted a basis I can work through in several drafts. Thank you for your time!
