Hi! I just joined, so here's what I think is the probably typical, what are my chances post. I know you can't ever really predict, but general thoughts would be cool.
I'm probably applying to Brown, Amherst and Columbia for reaches; Vassar, Brandeis and McGill for matches; and Clark and the University of Maryland-College Park for safeties.

stats etc.-
GPA: 3.89 UW (i think...not completely sure)
ACT: 30 first time, I'm taking it again and hoping for 32. I think I have pretty good chances of increasing b/c I didn't study at all last time and plan to study a lot now.
SAT: 1950 (700M/640W/610CR) but I'm not planning to send these scores or anything.
AP's: I got to a super small school, so the only AP's offer are US history and calc and they're both senior classes so I haven't taken any tests yet.

Classes: basically the hardest course load possible at my tiny school except I didn't take calc this year. the reason for that is that it conflicted w/ enviromental science, which I'm really interested in, and it's a double period class so I would have had to give up 2 other classes to take it. I've took a double science this year and last year. I've taken through French 3 and Spanish 4.

EC's etc:
-mock trial- 4 years, 2 as lead attorney
-Harvard Model Congress- 3 years b/c we can't go as freshman, award of excellence last year
-founding member of the school's fine arts journal plus I was published it in more than once
-helped start a debate team
-published in the school's page in the local newspaper
-ballet classes for 7 years, jazz dance for 2 years
-national honor society for 2 years
-chair of junior prom committee
-principal's advisory for 2+ years (they haven't anounced this year's members yet)
-part time work at a local pizza place for 2+ years
-lots of volunteer work (at least 100 hours throughout hs)

summer stuff:
5 1/2 weeks at St.Paul's School Advanced Studies Program for biomedical ethics this past summer. (it's a very well known and respected summer program at a private high school)
3 weeks at the Putney School Summer programs for dance and drawing last summer

I think that's about it.
