First Quarter grades...are they important?

I am planning to apply to WUSTL as an early decision applicants.

My grades have been All As since freshman year, but but realized that my first quarter grades are not really good. (2A/2B+/1B/1C+)
I am taking three ap courses and got C+ on calculus BC. I had really tough time personally…
I am pretty sure that I can make this up later in the year, but colleges only ask for first quarter grades, so I don’t know what to do…
are first quarter grades more important than previous years? I am really worrying about the entire college admission now…

For ED, YES. Don’t you think they would like to see how you are doing in the courses most like college work?
