First Quarter Grades - hearing back.

Hey! I got the letter asking for first quarter grades. I was just wondering if anyone has heard back yet or when you think we will hear back?

did u get accepted yet?

nope, i did not hear back yet. thats what im asking, how long do you think it takes to be evaluated for re-review?

Hey i got the same letter..i called up the admissions office and they said they wont start reviewing the application again until the first semester grades are in..soo prob around january..it really sucks and i was pretty disappointed, but a lot of kids in my school got the same letter

wait what do you mean? they asked for my first quarter grades, are they going to ask again for my first semester?

Lbabyxo,
You might want to give admissions a call and ask directly. It sounds like they've asked some prospective students for quarter grades and some for semester grades. I may well be that different applications will be reviewed at different times. Pitt is your best source of accurate information here. Good luck!

Does anyone know what is goign on with the first quarter grades? What are the odds of being accepted if you recieve that letter? What do you need in order to get in? When asre you gonna hear back?

Ususally Pitt has a quick turnaround but I have been waiting three weeks. At first I called everyday but now I dont call anymore because I accepted that I am going to have to wait :-/.

do they still ask for quarter/semester grades from those who got accepted?

I think almost all colleges expect a final transcript. My d's high school routinely sends semester and end of year grades so Pitt will get them. Your admissions letter should mention any requirements. I think my d's just had a friendly reminder to keep grades up senior year. I don't think it's generally much to worry about unless there's a significant drop.
