First Quarter Grades in Admissions

My school sends in first quarter grades to EA/ED school and my EA school is georgetown. My senior grades, however, (first quarter) aren't as good as my freshman, soph, jr year grades. (B in English, B+ in AP European History, B in AP Spanish, A in AP Stat, A- in AP Chem).. I have had straight As throughout high schools. Due to much harder classes, a D on a paper (***) and lots of work with colleges and emotional issues, my first quarter grades weren't al dente.

How much will this hurt against me? I thought georgetown didn't look at senior grades, since some schools don't send those in.

Honestly, I don't think a few Bs will hurt you too much, although jr year and first quarter senior grades are the most important... Georgetown will take into consideration your AP courseload...

^strange, at the info session georgetown says that for Early Action, it only counts up to junior year...

that could be true... I'm speaking generally, but whatever you hear from the info session is right...

but when I called georgetown they said they do if the school sends them in... ugh
