First quarter grades in ED

im just wondering now, i sent in my first quarter grades around the middle of november, and i managed to pull straight A’s in an extremely tough courseload. that being said, does penn even consider first quarter grades in their decisions?

did any of you send them in?

I'm sure they don't, as my school has trimesters, and so we don't get our first report card until late December.

It might sway them slightly, knowing that you aren't slacking off

My school did. I did pretty well so I hope it helped.

I sent them, I dont see how they cannot help even though they aren't asked for.

ah ok, so i guess it helps if you sent em, but doesnt necessarily hurt if you didnt? i hope thats the case, as it seems fairest.

Dunno... I got a progress report in October, all A's, so... Yeah, who knows.

It might, but I'm not sure if they'd consider it, because they only really look for Mid-year Reports. Cuz our school just does it by semester, so w/e. like jyankees said, it might just show that ur not slacking off, which actually helps. whatever makes you look good.

i think it will help if ur school sends in the report on time, but it definitely will not hurt u if ur school haven't started to process Mid-year reports yet.
