I got a letter from one of the schools I applied to asking for first quarter grades and I'm a little worried now that they're questioning admitting me. I have decent SAT scores and an okay GPA, nothing outstanding, but this school doesn't require outstanding stats; in fact, my stats are in the range of the average admitted applicant. I'm a little worried now that I won't get in. Does anyone know if this is a positive or negative situation?

Don’t take this as a bad sign. It’s perfectly normal. Many schools want to see how you are doing senior year before making an admission decision, especially when they are trying to decide before fall term transcripts are available. Your progress senior year is a strong indicator of how you will do in college courses.

Ok thanks! :)
