Does Tufts look at the first quarter grades of ED applicants? This year, I'm taking 4 APs, but I got B's in the AP classes, which translated to a 3.33UW/4.0W this quarter, and I'm nervous that that might hurt my chances a bit...

No. Everything is based off of what you have already done. They just see your courseload. However, you do have to send a midyear report.

Are you sure, snuffles? Because I am positive that my counselor said that Tufts admissions asked that she send them my first quarter grades. I don't think that they were factored into my GPA but they definitely wanted them.
(This was last year.)

But I wouldn't worry too much. They realize that it takes a little while to get going each year so they'll probably cut you some slack for that.

I went to her high school, and I definitely did not remember sending first quarter grades. Although, now that I think about it, it is possible that they did send the grades along with the transcript. I just don't remember my counselor ever informing me about it. I thought they only sent the course load for the fall semester. At least for early decision.
