first question

Hello,

I am a new member of the CC community.
I have a question about the final transcript...

I just received it from my GC..

2 A+, 6 A's, 5 B's, 1 C and 1 D....

Could these grades jeopardize my freshmen place at Amherst? especially the C and the D??

No, shouldn't be anything to worry about. They won't rescind you over a D.

I would worry about those grades if I were you. I know a kid who got rescinded from UCSD because of a D, and UCSD is less selective than Amherst. I know of another kid who got rescinded from Yale for getting two Cs.

When a school admits someone who purports to be a straight-A student, they expect a straight-A student to show up. If that C and that D weren't showing when Amherst admitted you, they are going to ask for a good explanation as to why they are there now.

You had 15 classes per semester?

15 subjects over a course of 2 years... they all show up as my final grades

but still... with these grades, I am by far the best student of my class of 150 students

what about 2 A+, 6 A's, 6 B's, 1 C???

Still have to worry about the C??

No, you are fine.
