When are you taking your first SAT I in your junior year?

anyone has a plan?

October. Aiming for 2300+

shouldnt you be taking the psat instead in october?

I assume you can take both the PSAT and SAT within a few days of each other, if you're into that sort of thing. :p

My junior year plan (which I'm very proud of) went like this:

October - PSAT
November - SAT
December - SAT II Math (needed no prep, so it was ok to take so soon after the SAT)
January - SAT retake
April - ACT w/o prep to see my capacity for improvement
May - SAT II (corresponding with an AP)
June - ACT retake

I also took an SAT II freshman year. So now, entering my senior year, I have the option of 1) retaking an SAT II; 2) trying a new SAT II; 3) retaking the SAT; or 4) retaking the ACT. I've had multiple shots at each test, so now I can look back and determine which single aspect I need to improve on and I have the most capacity improve on. And everything was pretty spaced out last year, so I didn't burn myself out with taking different standardized tests within a month of each other. Now, though, I'm happy with how things turned out, so I can enjoy a test-free senior year.

I'm a senior now but I took my first (and last...jesus, even if I needed the score improvement I don't know if I could sit through that test again...I salute you, theoneo) SAT I in June of junior year.

I think I want to do a January SAT, and maybe another test in the spring if I don't like my score.

theoneo: omg I did almost exactly the thing you did. I pushed on of my SAT I's back. I agree, that is the best way to do it..
