First SAT

I'd like to preface this by saying that I understand how subjective my question is and how there exist no surefire answer to it. I am, nevertheless, looking for advice.

Would it be advisable to take my first SAT in December? I have finished most of the blue book and could probably finish direct hits by the date. But it still feels like it's right there -- so soon. Also, what date did you take your first SAT?

I took the SAT only once: January this year.

But I took subject tests three times: June, Oct and now in Dec.

If you feel you are not ready, then don’t take it. But I advise you to take it around May or June so that if you are unhappy with your scores, you can have another shot.

December was my first SAT as well.

However, keep in mind its the time when all the procrastinatin’ Seniors take it, as well as those desperate for a midnight 2400.

^Whoever else is taking the exam is irrelevant. Also, note that you can get the January test back, but not the December test.
