Im a newbie on this forum but would like your guys guidance and counsel. My cum. is around a 3.3 and i have a 1700 SAT but this first semester of my senior year i really slipped im going to come out with 2 D's a few c's and and A. My Top three are University of Reno Nevada, Chico State, and Sonoma State. Do you think these schools will deny my acceptance (hoping that they do accept me) for 2 D's? Is it possible to take and online class to make these up? My 2 D's would be Advance Composition and AP Human Geo. I just dont know what happened this semester somewhere between managing my business and a social life i guess my grades just slipped. Any advice is appreciated thanks in advance .

Is your school sending a mid-year report?

When do Chico State and Sonoma State notify acceptances? Isn’t is soon?

Is the AP Human Geo weighted to 2.0?

Sounds like you’re having some senioritis. Don’t let one year of social life (senior year) ruin your chances. Increase homework and study time. :)

I used to live in Reno and UNR is not difficult to get into. Do you live in state? If so they accept everyone with a GPA over 3.0. I’d say your senior year isn’t going to ruin your chances at UNR, I know some people who got in there, and you might be among the smartest. And your SAT is towards the top of their middle 50%.

Chico and Sonoma have just started accepting people who have applied very early. I want to study Business so Chico is my #2 and UNR being my #1.

Unfortunately the Human Geo grade is not weighted to 2.0

Yea it a bad case of senioritis, for second semester im gonna try and plan my classes out early on so i dont fall behind like i did first semester. Running a business, maintaining a social life and taking fairly challenging classes is pretty hard task my friend.

No i like in California i dont know if thats going to hurt or help my chances but i know UNR is waiving all out of state fee’s.

Also i got a 4.0 my Soph year, i have tons of community service, ROTC 1, Military Academy, 2 Varsity Sports, Cadet 1st sergeant (Ran a company of 30 guys). <- thats a little bit about my credentials if that helps.
