Do first semester grades have to be sent for regular decision?
Just wondering as I might have gotten a B or two and don't want to send that to the Ivy League schools if I don't have to.
Thanks

Yes they do. In addition if your final report contains D’s and F’s, you can be rescinded (ie, they cancel your admission).

They are 1/7 of your HS achievement and show your highest level of rigor and are extremely predictive of college success. You think colleges just want to ignore this information? It’s highly important to them. Good luck w/your ultimate grades.

Seems like very different answers from this http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-admissions/1590733-dreaded-midyear-report.html (basically same scenario and just saw it)

You said semester grades. I’m referring to end of semester grades, not mid semester reports. Which are you citing?

Since mid semester reports aren’t part of your GPA, they don’t matter. Your end of semester grades definitely do.
