In CAS hoping to transfer to ILR if that makes a difference. Just wanted to know if it was a good schedule (amount of credits, amount of work etc.) Any input would be appreciated.

4 credits: CHIN 1109 Beginning Chinese for Chinese students
3 credits: PSYCH 1101 Intro to psychology
3 credit: DSOC 1101 Intro to sociology
3 credits: FWS (hopefully the one about film, it seems pretty cool and interesting)
2 credits: HORT 2010 - The Art of Horticulture, seems fun
1 credit: PSYCH 1103 Psych seminar

Possibly a one credit phys ed. class.

That's what i'm hoping for, but I was unsure if it was okay. Also, would i need to take any ILR classes?

I just went through the process of internal transfer from CALS to ILR. If you are a Freshman (FWS leads me to think so) talk to the ILR Admissions people as it is one of the few colleges that accept internal transfers for the 2nd semester of Freshman Year, but they usually recommend taking ILRCB1100 and/or ILROB1220 before transferring.

right there is no point in taking all those courses if you can get away with one cals course and 2 ILR courses…

my electives would be econ101/2 if you dont have those…if not some of the ILR distribution credits.

If you want to demonstrate interest in ILR taking ILR classes would be quite appropriate.

wow, abhoration, why would you even do that…

alright, thanks for the advice. I’ll just see if i can take the two ILR required courses my first semester wth a PE and Chinese and a FWS. That way I should be all caught up for my transfer. Thanks

okay so apparently my parents won’t allow me to switch until sophomore year so I can see what CAS can offer. I’m not going to worry about the ILR requirements and classes and what not until second semester the earliest. So as a CAS schedule, how does it look? Is it manageable?

definitely manageable. your hardest class is chin 109 but that depends on your current chinese level
