First semester transfer schedule

I'm going to be a sophomore transfer student majoring in neuroscience and doing pre-med at U of M and I'm having trouble deciding if I should take out a class or not. My schedule right now is 18 credits and here's what it looks like:

Biology 171
Chem 210+211 lab
French 101
Stats 350 (pre-req for a class)
UROP work-study

Any suggestions? What should I take out and use for next semester? Thanks for your time

That schedule seems pretty hefty. Unless you already have prior knowledge in French, I would take something out. The first thing I would take out is your UROP work-study. Unless you really need the money, this should be the first thing to go since the rest are prereqs and you seem a bit behind for a sophomore. If you can’t take that out though, I would take out stats 350 unless its a pre-req for a class you need to take next semester. This is because Stats 350 is a pretty easy course that you can take any term [including spring/maybe summer]. No matter what, though, I would keep bio 171, chem 210/211, and French 101 since you need to finish a second language, you need to finish up those chem 210 to go to chem 215, and you need bio since its the basis of many of your future courses.
