<p>Hi guys, I am new to posting threats, and I would appreciate it if anyone takes the time to chance me. My major is mechanical engineering and I plan to apply to:</p>

<p>Cal Poly SLO
Purdue, west layfattete
University of minnesota, twin cities
Arizona state university
Ohio state university
IIT</p>

<p>Stats:
GPA: 3.67 UW 3.81 W
Class Rank: Top 10% </p>

<p>Tests:
SAT: 1770 (600CR, 670 math, 500 W)
ACT: 26
I winged both of these test and am planning to retake both (predicting around 2000 for the SAT and 30 for the ACT)
Calc AB: 5
Psychlogy: 5
Eng Lang: 3</p>

<p>Extracurriculars:
Cyberpatriot 3 years
Chess club 3 years (1 year secretary)
Physics and Astronomy club 2 years (1 year treasurer)
Leo club 2 years
Math Team 1 year
Volunteering at homeless shelter (about 50 hours)</p>

<p>Awards:
3rd place in hawaii state science olympiad
3rd place in regional physics olympics
AP scholar</p>

<p>I will have a total of 7 AP classes by the time I graduate
Junior:

Eng Lang</p>

<p>Senior:
Physics B (also planning to take Physics C:mechanics exam)

<p>My CSU gpa is 3.72 UW 4.25 W</p>

<p>I think you would be a solid applicant for the schools listed above if you can get your test scores up. </p>

<p>Just a word of advice: Don’t plan to retake both the SAT and ACT. You don’t need both for colleges. Since you did slightly better on SAT, focus on that.</p>
