I am going to be taking the ACT in April as an 8th grader...... Any suggestions on how to prepare for it would be greatly appreciated

No prep. Your an 8th grader dude. Just relax, take it, and see where you need to improve. Im surprised you’ve even found this site at 8th grade! Don’t worry, the score you get will be much lower than you will get in Junior year. Good Luck!

Well said.

From your name, I can guess that you’re asian(wei) and have parents that are pushing you to study.
Just relax and tell them that it is too early for that. If they persist, a little white lie has never hurt anyone… ;)

And for the future when you actually need to study, look at Sparknotes. That’s a good place to start studying.

Actually… It was me that wanted to take the ACT just to see what else I needed to know for the future… I’m hoping the scores won’t be that bad… Although I am in 8th grade, I am in Pre Calculus class at our high school…so I was wondering to what level does the ACT take Mathematics and Reading to… Also, thanks for the Sparknotes- they have helped a bit.

Math goes up to PreCalc. Reading is just Reading Comprehension in general.

What should I expect to get around?

High 20s, low 30s for you specifically. TPC as an 8th grader? psh i exect a 30+ in math. And you seem bright enough to do well on the other sections.
