First time chances please

Hi, could someone please evaluate my chances at schools like Colby College, Middlebury, Mount Holyoke College,Smith, Boston College, Boston University, Bowdoin and Bates. And if possible reccommend some schools in the Northeast that I have a good chance of getting into with finacial aid.

GPA 3.4 unweighted 3.8 weighted
In freshman and sophmore my GPA was a 3.2 uw due to poor math grades.
In summer between my sophmore and junior year I moved to a differnt state and entered a new high school. This year as a junior I have 3.74 GPA so far and am hoping to raise it to 3.8 at the end of year.

My class rank at my old school was 54/606.
I am estimating that my class rank at my new school is somewhere around 4/50 and 7/50. Both schools are innercity public schools.

SAT1 1870 combined
math 560 reading 630 writing 680
taking SAT II's in World History & U.S. History on June 3
I am aiming for scores in the 700s.(scored a 5 on AP European History exam last year).

I am African American and my families income is less than $14,000 a year.
I've been involved in a few clubs throughout high school but nothing major and have held a few part time jobs.

I would very much appreciate it if someone could give me an honest evaluation of my stats including my chances of getting financial aid.

For the ones I know, BC is a big reach and BU is probably a reach.

BC, BU, AND COLBY r reaches... Mount Holyoke might be a match?

Any other opinions anywhere?

Bump,bump< Bumpidy Bump Bump Bump

I'd say decent shot at holyoke.

colby and bates are in desperate need of diversity, but i don't know if their admissions procedures reflect this.

any school that gives good fin aid will help you because you should probably have a free ride to college based on your family income. raising your SATs would help your chances tremendously... it sucks that your writing is so high because it's the one that matters the least, or at least it was this year, i dont know how it will change in the future. (i was the same way... m/v 640, w 700).

do you think your SAT2 aims are realistic based on your SAT?

you might want to apply ED to one of these schools that gives good aid. you can get out of it if they dont (i had three friends who almost decided not to go to their ed-accepted school, they all ended up going, but they didnt have to cuz of fin. aid).

i would suggest looking at schools that really want minorities because they will want to accept you and want to give you aid.

SAT2s 710, 760
