Welcome! You’re in good company. Lot’s of us find CC when we hit a stress points with our oldest, be it the common app, SAT’s, or just looking for the match/reach/safety list. You’ll find a wealth of information here.

I’m not sure if you’re aware but in the College Admissions forum (on the list to your left) there is a sub-forum just for the Common App. It is an excellent place for everything involving the common app. There’s a great search feature at the top right (blue box “search this thread”) where you can look for previous threads that might address a question on a section your student may be uncertain about. It was really helpful for my son when he filled out the CA in fall 2010.

Lastly, consider joining the parents threads in this forum for each of your students:

You don’t have to read from the beginning, just jump in on the last page and introduce yourself and your student, or read along for a while if you’re more comfortable. The parents groups are great for support especially during the stressful years of SAT/ACT’s, applications, and launching!
