I wanted to know how many courses I should take, I am going for Business

Hey, that’s great! Congratulations on making that decision!

Tell us about the responsibilities you have now. Have you children? how many? how old are they? are any significantly disabled? are you caring for elderly parents? do you live in a household with two adult incomes? if you have children in the household, are you the primary caregiver? are all the other members of the household willing and able to support your ambitions by chipping in with the work you usually contribute to the household?

In my experience, just because an adult family member decides to start college that does not mean the other members of the household realize that they will have to help out. Get a commitment from the people you share a roof with that they will contribute to your education.

Just as jkeil911 has mentioned, it really boils down to how much time can you really dedicate to school and I really do mean dedicate like not working, caring, cleaning, cooking, etc. Because each class will typically be 2-3 hours each week and depending on the college you go to, anywhere from 1-4 hours of outside of class. Also consider online classes, they really give you more control and responsibility of your classes, though they usually cost more.

Take the math and English placement tests so you know which courses to enroll for your first semester.
