well....like many of you...or maybe not...ill be taking the SAT and the ACT for the first time at the beginning of the month. I dont really know what to expect.....or how to prepare in these final lasts weeks

lol....the entire time i wrote this my dog was humping my leg

Rat a good breakfast, stay calm, have everything ready and prepared, come early and actively think. If you actively think and engage, then you are using your mind and not just going into cruise control.

I took the SAT unorganized, rushed, and more or less out of it. That was my worst hinder of all.

Other than that..study hard before hand and sleep well!

Take a BUNCH of practice tests, I advocate the 11 Princeton Review practice tests, the reading kicked the crap out of me on every practice but come SAT day, I aced the reading hardcore. Same goes for writing and math.

Plus I was so accustomed to SAT-ish tests that after the essay and first section I was more or less in the zone for the entire thing =P

Just take practice tests. Lots of them. If you can, make the last one or two you take actual collegeboard SAT practice tests or real old practice tests, boosts your confidence way up.

yeah, i just bought the 11 PR yesterday and im gonna try to focus more on the math, since its kinda my weakest point, but of course taking the other tests. I hope this helps! and for the ACT...well....thats just all i know

pointless rambling ya?
