Last Jan was the first time for me, so i was not used to the speed and the intensity of a new test.

I am planning to register for another one in MAY, i have heard that SAT difficulty ranges from time to time and want to know if anyone can confirm that.

Second question is that how much can your score usually increase by between your two tests? and what should you focus on to increase the most

(Since my score hasn't came out yet, but i will update my mark when it comes out in Feb 11)

If you left questions blank, because you didn’t have enough time to finish the test, your score can go up quite a lot with practice. Practice can definitely improve your speed and also get you used to the various types of questions. My SAT score went up 270 points (CR and M combined) with practice and studying vocabulary.

Curves compensate for variations in difficulty.

The average score change between first and second takings is very small (under +20 net overall I believe). Some people improve dramatically, however.

I finished the test both times, but my second time I was a lot more careful in checking my answers (especially in the math section). 100 point increase.

I see, from previous practice tests I know that my Writing mark has always been sub par to my Math and CR

I know that my weakness for math is carelessness and for CR is vocab and sometimes I get off track becuase of the passage is boring, but if the passage is intersting I usually score higher =)

Hopefully I didn’t do too bad

kay so my score came out and I got only
720 on Math
630 on Writing
630 on Reading

I think that for math I made several careless mistakes
and do I get to see my essay score? or do they only give you the overall score?

the January SAT was my first one too, i was pretty nervous about the results
but I ended up with
670 M
670 W
660 CR
so I’m happy with my 2000 lol

and when I checked my scores online, it included the essay score right below the writing score along with the multiple choice score

thats good writing mark, for me anyways

but i don’t think i see the essay score…letme check

well i got 10 on my essay

and another question can colleges see all your attempts at SAT if you don’t send them all of your scores for the superscore?

You can really increase your scores by leaving the ones blank that you don’t know. It took me a long time to grasp that concept since I kept thinking that leaving things blank would only hurt me, but I left a couple blank on my SAT IIs and my scores went up 80 points!
