I'm a junior, and I will be taking the SATs on December 1st. I am going to apply for a number of schools but I want to know if I can see my scores before sending them in. Do I have to send in my scores to colleges when I take test? Should I? What will they do with them if I dont apply right after they get my scores? How does this process work?

You do not have to send any scores to any school at the time of registration. However, once your scores are posted, you will have to pay the $9.00 per score report and lose out on the free score reports that are offered prior to the scores being posted.

As to your second question, colleges that receive scores for students that are not current applicants will place you on their data base. Not long after that, your mailbox will start to fill up with “college mailings”.

So I should just send my scores in?

What if I take them a second time? Will they take the best score from each section? I’m applying to FSU, UF, FIU

Will take the best of my scores if I send them my scores more than once?

If they “superscore”, they take the best section from any sitting. You can easily find out by looking about each college’s website…but like 99% do superscore, there’s a list otherwise somewhere

ur applying to UF? awesome, just know that their median score range is 1300-1440…i would aim for that…i already applied so im w8ing for that acceptance letter :)

No I am taking the SATs as a junior and will be applying next year.
