First year ciric Profs

Ok, so the majority of us here will be taking some form of calculus (for me the 14x Calc track), and potential the science gen. ed's (Physics 131+142, and CHEM 110+120). Can any students provide any insight into which professors we should sign up for? Actually, if anyone can provide anything on ANY first-year course professor, I'm sure someone somewhere would appreciate (myself included).

Thanks.

//I know Justatest, beatlespwr, and blobof, among few should be piping in on this one.

S checked out "rate my Professor". He thought there weren't enough data points though to make an informed decision.

I concur, which is why I am here today.

Can anyone recommend the best profs for Math 140, 141 and 133 - I'd qualify "best" as easiest and most student friendly. Thanks.

I can't provide much. Calculus is calculus, no matter who teaches it (professor Brown always teaches one section of 140 in the fall, 141 in winter, the other section may vary). The choice of TA might make a difference, but those change every semester (and there's a lot of them), so it's hard to know who's good before seeing the list. But calculus is essentially mechanical, all you really need is practice.

blobof, do you have any suggestions about scheduling?

Not for freshman year I'm afraid.
