"Well, I've heard the old dorms are more "Social", you know being that there are a lot more people available to hang out with...I would like to be in a newer dorm, but what's a new dorm w/o anyone to chill with?!

Also, those "new" dorms in hallway style, does it resemble the old dorms? Also are THESE new dorm rooms bigger?"

New Dorms, specifically called Alderman Road Housing really isn't that much newer than "Old Dorms." In fact they were built a few years after the dorms in McCormick were built. There are two exceptions, Cauthen and Woody which were built in Alderman road a few years ago. I live in Alderman and the suite style dorms is a plus in my opinion - less people to deal with in showers, the rooms are slightly bigger and probably more laid back. The suites in Alderman also allow those living to build closer, more family-oriented relationships among roomates. Old dorms are more social but it's a little more difficult to really get to know your hallmates since there are more people in a residence hall (30-40 people) than a suite(10-12).
