Hi, sorry if this has been asked before, but I couldn’t find this information anywhere.
I will be graduating from high school with 89 college credits (2 associates degrees worth). However, I applied as a first year student to UNC. I haven’t heard anything about my credits transferring yet, and I was accepted back in January. I also sent my college transcript in January. There’s no information showing up under my transfer credit section on ConnectCarolina.
Is anyone else in this situation? Any advice? How does this usually work? Thank you in advance!
My kid did not have transfer credits evaluated until over the summer before arriving on campus. I think it was July. You can call them and find out when they plan on evaluating yours. Also, there is a limit on how many 2 year college credit’s you can transfer in to UNC. I think the number is 64 hours. My understanding is that you can transfer other credit in beyond that but not for hours towards graduation. There is also a minimum number of hours that must be taken at UNC to earn a degree from them (45). I would definitely recommend a conversation with them so you don’t have any unexpected surprises.
Ah, this is very helpful thank you! @heelsmom I’ll give them a call
