First year of art

So, can anyone who desrcibe their first year of college art? That, and is taking art for the first time ever as a freshman in college an extremely difficult thing to do? I'll be starting my senior year of highschool, can't fit art in my schedule without dropping AP Physics B, and have only taken Symphonic band for the past three years. Also, how is graphic design? I don't plan on majoring, but possibly minoring in art because I love drawing.

Umm. Buump?

Graphic design may include some sketching, but will likely focus more on learning the programs (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) and creating basic layouts. May include some typography.

If you’re taking a general art course, there will probably be a lot of other first-time or amateur students and the professor will know this. Some grade more on a curve, and grade based on improvement over time rather than how well you actually draw.

My Drawing 1 course was just a lot of sketching with only one or two finished projects. A lot of figure drawing, including live, nude models. A few still life drawings. That’s all I can really remember.

Thanks. Sounds like a pretty interesting first year course.
