First Year Transfer to NYU engineering

Hi, I’m interested in transferring to the NYU Tandon school of engineering and I was wondering what are my chances of getting in. I’m currently a freshman at a CUNY school and my high school grades were not too good. I wished that my first semester college grades were better, but they look about a 3.3-3.4 right now. Below are some of my stats

SAT: 1830
ACT: 27
High school GPA: 3.3
College GPA: 3.3-3.4
Courses taken in college: Intro to computer science, Calculus 2, Chemistry I, Intro to Management, Foundations of Speech Communications
Applying to: NYU school of Engineering
Major: Computer Science
Minor: Economics (still unsure)

Is it even worth apply for the upcoming fall semester? Because I know they still look at standardized test scores if you apply with < 60 credits. Should I just wait and apply for the spring semester of next year?

Thank you!

Why do you want to transfer? You wanted to transfer out even before starting at CUNY. Can you afford Tuition/Fees at NYU ($48,280 per year), which is 7 times the Tuition/Fees at the CUNY school you are currently attending (CUNY Tuition/Fees = $6,780). For a Computer Science degree, can you articulate what advantages does NYU offer over your existing institution and does it justify the 7X Tuition/Fees? Which CUNY are you attending (Hunter or CCNY)?
