It seems like one way to go about selecting a tutorial is to choose by professor rather than topic -- who would offer a great academic experience and/or who would be a good advisor. Everyone's mileage varies, of course, but do people on this forum have thoughts on which professors might offer one half of that equation, or even both?

After some searching, I found the listing. I"m posting it here. What an amazing array of courses!

My S listed his topics in order of interest and it worked out fine (and even ordering them by favorites was difficult, because as you can see, there are always such interesting topics!!)

My S picked knowing nothing about any of the professors and it worked out just fine!

The Malaria course sounds pretty interesting. So does “Water.”

Our son reluctantly made his tutorial choice based almost entirely on the rating of the professor. This was at the strong urging of his older brother who was a senior at another LAC. As it turned out, he loved his tutorial and is so happy to have the professor as his adviser. (Your tutorial prof will be your adviser until you declare your major.) You will likely form a strong bond with your fellow tutorial classmates as my son did.
