Which course do people usually take for first year writing requirement, 124 or 125? Which course is better? How do they differ?

I’m assuming both are equally popular. 124 concentrates on literature, whereas 125 is about writing.

There is a lot more reading in 124 of course, since the readings are the basis of the class. 125 does not have as much reading from what I’ve noticed, and focuses more on grammar and mechanics.

Take 125, it’s just writing, pretty much no reading at all. Easy A.

Is 124 reading more like short stories, or books like King Lear or Pride and Prejudice?
