Fisher- Direct Admit

Can anyone tell me more about Direct Admit to Fisher? My daughter received her letter saying she was a direct admit. She also was direct admitted to a couple of other business programs. Just trying to understand the benefits, if any, of direct admit at OSU. She is leaning OSU (we have a son there too!) but waiting on a couple of other to finalize her choice. Thanks so much!

@researchQ - Fisher is a great program, very informed advisors. Good ROI.

@researchQ my sophomore son is at OSU and is in the Business Scholar program and was a Direct Admit. The benefits of being a Direct Admit is not having to apply to Fisher after freshman year…with buiness being a popular and competitive major it is getting harder every year to get accepted without a high freshman year GPA…Direct Admits do not have to apply and are able to work with Fisher advisers on day one to plan their schedules. Students in Honors/Scholars programs also get priority registration.

A quick comment on the early course registration for Honors & Scholars. I’m in both and Honors and Scholars, and Honors gets the super early registration. We can register right about the first day of registration (before 4th and 5th years can even register). Scholars on the other hand can register before anyone else in their class level. A first year scholar can register before all other (non-honors) first years.
