I have been admitted to University of Michigan and Ohio State University. Since I was accepted into honors I am automatically accepted into the Fisher college of business. I know that the Ross school is ranked higher but I was wondering if it is that much of a difference. If I went to Michigan there's the possibility of not getting into Ross and I'm also from Ohio so big difference in tuition. I just want to hear other peoples thoughts. Also u.s news ranks fisher 14th but bloomberg ranks it 59th?

I suppose it will matter what area of business you would want to go into.

If you want to do finance, Ross is much better.

If you want to be an Investment Banker, go Ross. If you don’t care, go OSU.

Yeah, Finance at OSU is fine if you want to do corporate finance, but it’s really hard to get into investment banking from here unless you already have some connections.

other than the area of business, one thing that often gets overlooked is the culture of the schools.

if you love being challenged and have that “competitive” nature, go to ross for the “achiever” in you. on the other hand, if you just want a solid business degree and care more about football than most things, go to osu.
