Fisher vs. UIUC?

What has a better business program in terms of job potential and salary? I’m contemplating Ohio State’s Fisher College of Business or UIUC’s College of Business.

It depends on which business program you’re pursuing. Perhaps you can obtain some placement statistics from each business school to see how many graduates are placed by specialty (accounting, finance, marketing, etc) and what companies hire them.

I’m looking to study Information Technology/Management Information Systems with a CompSci minor.

UIUC’s average starting salary is about $53,000 as opposed to Fisher’s $48,000.

Here’s the link for Fisher’s Info Management specialization: [Fisher College of Business | Specialization: Information Systems](http://fisher.osu.edu/undergraduate/academics/specializations/information-systems/)
You can probably find something online for UIUC too.
I could not tell you which school might offer better job prospects but I might guess UIUC because Chicago is a major business hub. OTOH the cost of living is higher in Illinois.

Have you considered other schools? According to USNWR, the top midwest programs for MIS include Purdue, Indiana U, U Penn, Carnegie Mellon, U MIch. Several of these schools have outstanding computer science programs as well.
