FIT applicants for fall 2018

emailed decisions feel so much less personal but I think I would take that over this wait!

@misa27 they emailed my daughter her rejection in January for Sprng and it was just as bad as getting that small envelope like she got last fall. It’s exciting getting the large acceptance envelope. I hope she gets one this time!!

Does anyone know if the class search changing from “FALL 2018 (View Only)” to just “FALL 2018” is a good sign? Or does everyone get this change regardless of acceptance/rejection? Good luck everyone!

good question @woahcool

@woahcool if your COA changed. That’s the sign. Not sure about the classes.

Where do you find COA? I can see class search and ethnicity survey, but I don’t even see COA as a link anywhere?

@alferr95 look to the right. Where is says something like check your financial aid and cost.

Hmm, I’m not finding it. Is it on the very first page after you log in or do you have to click on Application Status?

Hi everyone, I Wanted to know if “View Only” for class search has disappeared from everyone. Next to FALL 2018 and Summer 2018 “View Only is no longer showing. Just wanted to know if this was a general update for everyone. MY COA has not changed and I am looking for sign while I wait on the mail.

Okay I think I found it and it’s not giving me a number. I click on Overall Status of Financial Aid which says it should show COA, but the page only says 'Based on your academic transcript, the status of your academic progress is not yet reviewed as of Fall 2018"

@alferr95 ok I did it go to my my financial aid check list and then student fin aid and then overall status. Click the 2018 year and the COA should be 0 or a number.

@magnetnh because I applied for a scholarship and in the email it said “If you receive a scholarship it will be indicated as part of the financial aid package. You will receive an email in May when your financial aid package is available.”

I’m from upstate and i have not received my letter yet either, i did not apply honors. And Yes you can apply honors as a sophomore, I was going to apply for honors but did not. I also am now realizing I could have handeled it but i didn’t want to get myself into something I couldn’t get out of @elaniann1

@marissa25 Thanks for the update. I think that applies to scholarships. I called and they said starting next week they would be sending FA Decisions provided all of the necessary documents were received. Please note that S received a request for proof of selective service registration so males be aware that this may be needed.

Oh okay, i know that people have already started getting decisions and they did not receive a financial aid packet/paper with their acceptance @magnetnh

I called FIT today and they said they’re yet to send out packages for AAS courses for a lot. Specially for those whose material was received by 1st of Feb. So they’re gonna get their packet between April 1-15

But if anyone has anymore information on the fashion business managements AAS or similar courses, please share

Thank you for doing that @dizydee! I’m still not finding it but that’s okay, I’ll find out soon enough. Sounds like next week should be when most people receive their letters. Thanks again for trying to help!

@alferr95 You are welcome!! Good luck ! I know it’s so stressful for you kids. This is my daughters 3rd time going through this. It’s a very competitive school. She cried for weeks last year when she didn’t get in and all her friends did. Good luck!!

@25marissa25 are you talking about transfer sophomores? I am one and when I asked FIT if I could apply for honors they said I couldn’t right now or something. But im applying for aas fashion design so maybe its diff. @dizydee thanks so much for the info so far but someone in the FIT groupme was saying how COA and financial info in general is not done by FIT so isn’t the “COA updated means ur getting in” just a rumor?
