I have the same question about waitlisting. I read somewhere that people are admitted, when space opens, according the date they submitted their application. But I would love to know when they last moment is that a person might be admitted as well as what percentage of applicants are waitlisted and then admitted.
@MischaK I have also gotten into the one year AAS program for communication design. I am a transfer student from India. I was wondering how to look for roommates, is there an official group on facebook or something ? I would love to get to know some of you and possibly share a quad apartment
@ami678 I was actually wondering the same thing, but I haven’t found any pages on Facebook yet. I’m also a transfer student, I’m from New Jersey!
@ami678 @MischaK I was trying to find one as well, and haven’t found one. I’m also a transfer student (my major is International Trade and Marketing) and also from New Jersey and trying to find roommates!
@krista1230 @ami678 Nice to meet you! I’m pretty sure there’s a tab on MyFit for finding roommates and applying for housing, but I can’t get into it bc I’ve been having IT probs with my account… But it would be awesome to get to know you both!
Is anyone’s housing page saying that they are not eligible to submit roommate requests/ aren’t set to participate in the upcoming selection process or is it just me??
I am a transfer student who has applied for 1 year AAS program. My candidate form says that I need to submit my final transcript which ‘C’ grade minimum requirement to them. Can anyone tell me what is it about? Are they talking about 3rd and 4th semester? Or any other? Coz I haven’t received my 4th semester’s result yet.
@Modalove In order to actually get into the one year program you need to have all of your general requirements fulfilled. If you’re currently taking classes that are going to fulfill the requirements at FIT you have to send them the completed transcript after your semester ends. That way when you speak with your FIT advisor over the summer about scheduling they can check that you’ve completed everything and you can continue into the one year program. Otherwise if you missed a course requirement or got lower than a C you’d be moved into the regular two year program. At least that’s what they’ve told me when I called them. Good luck!
Hey gang. I have been a fellow lurker for a while now and finally received my acceptance letter via email and wanted to share my experience for those of you still waiting. I called in this morning after still not having received a decision. The lady that I spoke with told me that my letter was put in the mail 4/18 but she would send me an email as well with the decision. Within 5 min, I received an email telling me that I am an outstanding applicant and that the tuition deposit would be due 5/1.However, my cost of attendance has not changed. If you are still waiting for news, remember that no news is still good news so keep hanging in there. I would also recommend giving them a call as well to see if they can email you with the decision. Good luck and remember that if things don’t go your way this time, reapply reapply reapply!
Hey what major? are you a transfer or freshman? im still waiting to hear going to call tomorrow!
