Did anyone apply to Parsons as well and has heard back? I haven’t heard from them either.
@shankoes I applied to Parsons, but for Early Action.
I just called FIT admissions to change my applying major, and the guy on the phone told me that they were already reviewing applications but the results are being sent April 1st (which I don’t believe, I’m pretty sure they’ll be sent before) so I just thought I would share with you guys :))
@Pankobreading yeah that’s the only thing but I can just transfer later it’s just my back up
HI guys! I applied for the AMC major. I can see the class search with all the classes available and times for my major for Fall 2017 hope that’s a good sign! I’m so nervous!!!
@Pankobreading it was really good, the teachers were nice and experienced and the class sizes were small, so each student got attention but it’s super expensive!
They’re running later than other years on tags on Instagram ppl started knowing the 10 th of march
@creepyandcute13 Just look at your cost of attendance and see if it changed from $0 yet. If you look at past forums, people whose cost of attendance was displayed (meaning it changed from $0) got accepted shortly after. It’s a good indication they’ve made a decision that you’re accepted. Hope that helps a little.
If everybody would look at the last 2 or 3 pages from the "FIT Fall 2016 Applications, you’ll see that people’s whose cost of attendance changed from $0, they got accepted really shortly after. And they also talk about it being an indication beforehand that you’ve gotten in. Nobody whose cost of attendance changed from $0 got rejected.
Yeah, it would make no sense for the bursars office to review financial aid for all applicants, instead of just those who got accepted. They would not waste their time with that honestly, lol.
@bananaflea lol it’s really not that hard to figure out. For them to figure out your cost of attendance, they have to look at your application, determine where you’re from, your academic standing, financial information, scholarships, and I’m sure a whole host of other factors too. Think about it: are they going to do all that first and then determine that you’re rejected? No, they’re going to determine whether or not you’re admitted and then figure out the rest. That’s why on last year’s forum they talk about your cost of attendance changing right before you receive your acceptance letter. It happened consistently to applicants who were admitted.
@bananaflea That’s what I’m saying. My cost of attendance hasn’t changed, but financial aid contacts me a lot about sending my forms. It seems like a lot people COA has changed from $0. This is just stressing me out. I just want to know already. :(|)
I really hope that the COA thing is true. lol. It’s been a while since I;ve gone through the college admissions process and it does seem a bit illogical to do EVERYONE’S financial aid stuff ( which I can imagine being quite tedious and a waste of time) as a just in case procedure.
They just need to come on with these letters already!!
@Taylora5467 Your COA would be your best indication. But they really wouldn’t bother asking for you financial aid forms if they didn’t plan on admitting you.
I wonder how long it will take for my financial aid stuff to process…the checklist shows that they have my requested documents, but its says application under review…
For those that applied for FInancial Aid, did your need calculation show up under the award overview tab?
@Virgo25AD yeah. When financial aid email me the first time it said,to turn in all documents to complete my application. So, I’m not sure what that means . :-S
@Pankobreading mine says it’s pending to be reviewed
@Pankobreading I believe it’s anywhere from April till May when they tell you.
So the need calculation isn’t showing up on either of yours? It should be displayed next to the COA breakdown on the award overview tab. @Virgo25AD @Taylora5467
