FIT Fall 2017 Applications

@Pankobreading if their GPA was low, then it means that their portfolio was amazing! O___O

@Taylora5467 What major did you apply for?

@ArtMajor03 I think you’re just psyching yourself out of it right now. Stay positive, and I’m sure you’ve got talent (everybody’s got talent, to some extent); it’s just about cultivating it, showing that you’ve got the potential to be taught and molded into a better version of your current state. FIT isn’t the be-all and end-all to your life. Look, I’m happy for everyone whose gotten accepted, and still obviously waiting to be accepted. But even so, you’ve got to work your ass off once your there for it truly to mean anything in the end. Just getting into FIT in and of itself is not going to be some golden ticket to the promised land. It’s what you do after that propels you to wherever it is you’ve envisioned yourself to be one day. That goes for any school – none of them will make you successful. You make you successful. They can offer asstistance, opportunities of course, but they can’t guarantee you anything in this world.

@Virgo25AD I’m just stressing. You’re right. I want you to be my ally if we get accepted at FIT. I plan on working my butt off if i get in. There will be mostly tears shed! I know i can do it!

@ArtMajor03 they didn’t have me submit a portfolio. probably because it’s not a popular major there

@denverdylan I wish you the best! I hope ya got in.

Just relax. You’ll be fine! I am sure of it.

Do they look at all of the college transcripts…or the most recent one? That is what has me worried a bit.

@ArtMajor03 FIT or no FIT, you never quit trying to improve upon your life; taking your dreams, goals, and ambitions as far as you can possibly take them. Life is short: would you rather say you gave up along the way and failed, or be 80 years old one day and say you tried and worked every day to achieve your goals and came up short, but are still trying? I’ll give you a hint: one of those people is filled with regret; the other is completely content with their life’s journey. It’s never about the destination; it’s always about the journey there.

I GOT IN!!!

Oh wow! Congrats to you! @Pabby18 Were you a HS applicant?

@ArtMajor03 I applied for AMC 2yr ASS

Does anyone know if they send out acceptance letters in batches to certain areas or is it just random? I’m a high school senior applying to prod management. My Coa is in but I’m still freaking out! I just wanna find out asap

@Lexi4500 Predominantly, your region plays a big factor into when you’ll receive it.

Congratulations to all that have been accepted. What about international students. Have anyone heard if letters have arrive. Are they the last to know or is it random. Has any body been accepted to the fashion design program

Seems international students also get notified by mail and they get a tracking number information from DHL by email. Since last year they started getting acceptance letter about 3/12, and the first comment by international student who got this DHL email is around 3/25, we will probably have to wait longer…

Intl. high school applicant to 2yr FBM AAS program here… Didn’t hear a thing yet. Anyone overseas get their DHL tracking number? I am literally DYING here UGGHHH I thought they would work on the intl students batch first and notify them first because visas and all… The wait is killing me…
btw I got a 3.0 GPA from WES and a 114 toefl score… Do you think they’ll take into account the toefl?
Oh and congrats guys!

@youlialee Meaning if the estimates are right we’ll be getting DHL emails around 4/4 … im already dead

Congratulations guys! I’m an international student from Japan, but haven’t received any e-mail nor letter. I would like to talk with other international students, so if you’re, plese DM me (:
