FIT Fall 2019

@jendclifford Hi, I’m a transfer as well! My coa is updated but I cannot find anywhere to check an unofficial transcript. Perhaps none of my credits transferred? I also currently do not have a degree. Are you applying with another degree completed?

@honda05 No I never finished my first time in college. I am currently enrolled in classes at FIT though, as I’m working towards a gemology certificate to go along with the AAS I’m hoping to get into.

Anyone has got your dhl tracking number by email???

@hailey0605 they actually send your tracking? do you have to call them for it?

N they don’t offer scholarships. I was accepted into the Presidential Scholars Program and I receive a stipend of $1,000 year.

My daughter was accepted into the Fashion Scholars Program as well. She will be attending in Fall 2019.

Me too! I will be in the Fashion Scholars Program as well

I’m from NC and was accepted into FBM

@jendclifford Can I ask you where the unofficial transcript is located for you? I tried looking a couple times and on my portal, I do not see anywhere I can view that. Did you apply to fafsa as well?

@dirtyrobot That’s what I heard from the people who got accepted last year. I guess the tracking number is sent by dhl, not FIT.

@hailey0605 well i have yet to receive anything. I know there are only a few slots for the major I applied for so I’m getting nervous now ;(

@jendclifford Did you apply to a two year, one year, or BS program ? I am a transfer as well but don’t see a link with my unofficial transcript

@honda05 @sxashley I applied to a two year AAS and I found my unofficial transcript in online recourses underneath “other popular shortcuts” idk if I can just see it because I’m currently a non degree student and maybe it’s not available for people not currently enrolled?

To the people who got their acceptance letter! Did your financial aid checklist change?

@sxashley @honda05 it’s right underneath online information system

@915sun did they send you your DHL tracking number?

@jendclifford @sxashley Hm okay, under “online resources” I only see links to the Barnes & Nobles and the student rights and manual. Everywhere else on my portal doesn’t mention an unofficial transcript. I wonder what dictates for some transfer applicants to view that! Did either of you apply for fafsa and did your coa/financial aid checklist update as of yet?

@honda05 I can probably see it because I’m enrolled in non degree classes. I don’t think it’s because I’m a transfer applicant. I did apply for fafsa and it has not updated. My understanding is that a lot of people don’t have their info update.

My son did not receive his letter yet, but today when I logged in under his name I can see a financial aid offer including work study. They would not have offered him work study if he wasn’t accepted right? Before today, I was never able to get the site map to work it always said connection timed out or something like that. I don’t want to tell him what I saw in case I get his hopes up and he isn’t accepted.

@JoyG yea it’s best not to say anything yet. It sure seems like a good sign tho! Wishing your son luck! The wait is giving all of us anxiety. We should all know our fate next week!
