Hey guys! I applied as a transfer student into the Communications major and haven’t heard anything! I’m freaked out! I keep checking the mail. Has anyone living in Dutchess County gotten accepted yet??
Hey guys, I just want to say that I called yesterday because I haven’t heard back either and they say that they are delayed in transfer applications.
@penelope3012 did they say when they would catch up?
@mouseny I wouldn’t be too worried everything seems super random. I called today and they said mine only got sent two days ago and should arrive in the next two days. From what I can tell a lot of majors with portfolios or majors that are competitive are taking longer to send.
I live near DC order fabric from NYC and it takes at-least 5 days via postal service. Any other school I have applied to have taken longer for me than my friends since I submitted a portfolio. I would wait till Monday and if it still does not come call again.
Hey everybody! Just wanted to say that I got into fit for fashion design and I’m over the moon with joy. I called them yesterday and they sent me an email of my decision letter because they said the letter was on its way. I’m still waiting on the physical letter tho.
While I sent in my actual application in mid December my portfolio was sent in until feb 3 because of personal reasons. I just wanted to let anybody who didn’t meet the priority deadline or anything to give up hope because it’s possible.
I want to thank everyone for all the advice that I’ve got from this site. It has eased my mind many times during the long wait!
Hello! I got my acceptance email today! Just want to share my story a little bit.
I applied for AAS Fashion Design last year and was put in waitlist and then was rejected later in the year. Then around December last year they sent an email to me asking if I’m still interested and if so my application process could be streamlined. So I said of course yes. Then all same material, same portfolio was automatically processed for application this year. And then I got in this year. And on the letter it also says that I am an outstanding student this year.
Need to mention that about January this year I asked to change my full time application to Evening weekend track though. Becuase I got a job and would like to keep my income source.
Hey I had the same problem but don’t worry! Just call the admissions office (have your student ID number ready) and ask them about it. They’ll probably say it’s in the mail like they did to me but they said they’ll send me an electronic version of the letter via email and they literally send the letter right after you hang up.
Hey everyone. I called to get my letter emailed yesterday and I got in. My major is AMC. It was dated April 1st. I still have not received anything in the mail yet. Good luck everyone!

hi all!
i have been checking this forum for quite some time, but have never felt the need to comment till now.
i called the FIT admissions office about half an hour ago regarding my decision. i am an AMC applicant and have been obsessively checking my COA since my MyFIT page has been available, though i kind of lost hope in my admissions chances when everyone began posting about their COA changing. however, i’m so glad i called today. the woman on the phone told me that my application had just been reviewed, stressing the “just.” there wasn’t even an official decision letter for me yet, so she was unable to email anything, but said my decision would be in my mailbox within the next few days, and to call again if it doesn’t show up. this has definitely restored some of my hope! i’ll probably go back to obsessively checking my COA again lol.
as others in this thread have mentioned, they don’t seem to be done checking applications yet. if you are worried, i definitely recommend calling if you are concerned about the status of yours. the woman on the phone was super nice and alleviated a lot of my stress

I’m a transfer into the one-year AMC program! I had a few issues with my application (a late transcript, unsure if i had enough credits, etc) but I found out today i got accepted!! i called and he said they JUST sent my letter on tuesday but they emailed me my decision because i’m currently abroad for the semester. so dont give up!! i honestly thought i wasn’t going to make it. my coa never changed and i checked everyday up until today

I got accepted into the One Year AAS for Accessories Design!! Just for some info absolutely nothing in MyFIT changed. Now that I made my $150 deposit, MyFIT changed and shows FALL 2019 as a tab. Anyone who was accepted know how to go about registering for classes or anything?
Does anybody else go to Evening/Weekend programs?

I assume they would make decisions for Daytime and EveningWeekend separately.
Dont see anybody else mentioning if they are EveningWeekend or Daytime.

@KayLeaf Not yet I applied to the AMC program and I called on Wednesday a decision hadn’t been made yet. They were behind on AMC Transfers (according to admissions) so I’m going to call on Monday! I’m hoping to get in I have a 3.8 GPA and going to the evening/night gives me a better chance of getting in so fingers crossed!
