@Rialynn212 Good luck!!! You will make it:)
For those of you wondering I just got my acceptance letter to FIT Korea by email, I’m admitted as a FBM transfer student for Fall 2019~
Not accepted for FBM. Found out today April 8th by email 12 days after the letter was dated March 27, but not received in the mail yet. COA didn’t change at all. Life-long love of fashion, working in fashion retail and active in fashion extra-curriculars, but a GPA just under 2.8 and a SAT just under 1000, made it a long shot. Now, to figure out other options. Please help each other out on this thread and those reading the thread in the future, whether accepted or declined, what program you applied for and the date you received the news. Sharing is caring. I hope this helps someone. Best of luck to everyone.
@PwrPple I suggest taking some gen ed classes at your local community college then applying as a mid year transfer. For FBM; GPA and SAT is considered. I would suggest raising it to a 3.5 since their GPA is just a 3.0 requirement. So if you have a 3.5 and the same SAT score, you could show academic growth.
Hi everyone! I’ve been reading this forum to ease my anxiety during the admissions process because my GPA is literally a 2.0 and I applied to AMC. BUT TODAY I RECEIVED MY ACCEPTANCE LETTER as an EOP applicant. So here’s some info:
-My Coa changed in mid march
-I was able to see Financial aid award in march then it dissappeared and came back 04/07
-Letter was dated apr 3 & postmarked apr 5
-Rcv Letter apr 8
Good Luck guys!!!
Does anyone know if submitting your application after the deadline hurts your chances by alot? Has anyone gotten in after missing the priority deadline?
@Gilprogettista I did the same thing and I’m super nervous. I didn’t realize that the cut off time was on east coast time and I live in California. I submitted everything, but the time stamps on the myfit website are later than the deadline. I wasn’t sure if they would still review my application, but I got an email confirmation about a week later. My GPA is 3.4, and I have a lot of extra curricular activities and I’m really proud of my portfolio.
does anyone know if the size of the envelope affects the decision? for example, if i get a small envelope does it mean it’s a rejection?
@marianacgr a waitlist letter is in small envelope. I heard rejection is in small envelope too.
@oolybuzzle Last year I did the same thing. I submitted everything one day past the deadline and I really liked my portfolio. Then I was put in the waitlist and then a few months later rejected. I feel the timing might have been relevant but could be for other reasons too.
This year they streamlined my application process with all same material I submitted last year and I got in as an outstanding applicant. The difference is only everything was processed by January and i changed to the evening weekend option instead of daytime.
So I REALLY messed up and I’ve officially lost hope. I initially sent my transcripts in 2017 but I received my AAS in 2018. Totally forgot to send my updated transcript thinking I had everything sent in already. I just got an email to send an updated transcript for proof of my AAS. Pretty sure I’m at the bottom of the list now.
MY COA JUST CHANGED!!! I’m so excited!!
Is there a Facebook groups for transfers acceptances, for roommates?
Is any chance to get in FIT with TOEFL 79marks?
Hey does anyone know when do transfer applications get responses? I submitted everything on time and checked it was submitted. I haven’t received any response yet?
@KayLeaf hey is there a way I cab talk to you about the admission process cuz I was also in a similar situation as you and U haven’t tealy gotten any reply yet? Idk how to private message you here.
@sanday I also still waiting for a response. I called and told me that my application still under review.
@penelope3012 ok thanks but i’m kind of nervous because last time when they reviewed it this late I got rejected. Last time I didn’t submit everything at priority time. This time I made sure I did so Idk anymore.
@sanday Now I’m nervous too lol. Did your COA changed? Mine changed like a week ago and I heard that is a good sign.
Just got my letter!!! And I got in after almost 3 months of waiting for a desicion.
