@Isabellareyt Wow, that’s such a strange notification lol. But thanks for coming back on to help us out with your experience!
Looking at your old posts, it’s to my understanding that you are an international student? I’ve read in past threads that FIT only sends decisions by mail, but apparently emails internationals their decisions. Was this true for you/other people accepted?
@Isabellareyt Do you know of any students whose COA changed, but they got rejected? Also do Presidential Scholars hear back sooner than regular applicants?
Also on my financial checklist, it changed to having a green checkmark by “final financial aid review” and “award available pending admission”. Anyone know what that means/if its a good sign?
@ssaaaa yes im an international student, but believe me wether your COA changes or not, for the majority, it has nothing to do. Ad as for a mailed or emailed letter, even tho Im an international student, my mailing address was a relative’s address who lives in florida, so i got my letter mailed and never received an email. But i know about many other international students whose mailing address was their country of residence and they still got their letter mailed.
And for what i remember, only people who actually contacted the admissions office and requested to have their letter emailed (mostly people that by mid April hadn’t receive a letter and they were running out of patience) were the ones that actually got it emailed to them.
@chloegucci Some presidential scholars, and I’d say the majority of them along International students, are the first ones to hear back from FIT, but again is very random and that doesn’t mean anything. if you’re a international student or presidential scholar and haven’t hear back from fit when a lot of people have already done it doesn’t mean you’re not in. I have friends (not international or presidential scholars tho) who didn’t hear back from FIT until mid April. From what you’ve said, all those things could be a good signal that you’re in, but once again that could mean nothing at the same time.
If any u have a question or something just dm on my Instagram (@isabellarey), bc as i said i got a notif from this forum randomly and I never check this page
Hey, I applied for the AMC program for Fall 2019. Just wondering if I didn’t apply for financial aid will I not be able to see my COA? I know it may not be an indication of getting denied or not just curious
My names Alec and for the past couple weeks I’ve been stalking this forum to see how everyone’s doing. Figured I should finally join in!
I’m a senior in high school and I applied to FIT for the Fall under Photography and Related Media! So excited to hear back, and wish you all the best of luck!!
Omg I’m so glad I came across this chat recently and it’s soo good to know I’m not the only one freaking out and finding a way to see if I got in early. I’m applying to the one year associates program as a transfer student. Time is ticking and I just wanna know already !!!
@sssaaaa thank you! And I know? makes it even more scary! I even called FIT today and was like “hey I’m just worrying too much. I got everything in, right?” And I do, so that’s good haha
did any transfer COA’s have changed yet?? i almost wonder if transfer applicants take a little more time due to transferring credits in order to be reviewed for the proper placement.
