Hi everyone!
I was going through FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology) website to check out their majors, and I was wondering what are the job prospects in NYC for someone who majors in Advertising and Marketing Communications or Fashion Merchandising Management (both bachelor's degrees). I am thinking about applying to one of those two majors, and although I currently study business administration, I would really like to get into the fashion industry (not fashion design or anything, too late for that now!). But I have two concerns: first, how much money does a graduate in these two majors generally make in this industry, and their respective advancement opportunities (especially considering that I may be living in NYC after I graduate), and second, how limiting these degrees may be in the case that I decide to go other way if the fashion career plan does not work out (like earning 35,000 when I'm 40 does not sound good to me).

On the other hand, I may study marketing at an accredited university and then see if I can do some fashion-related coursework at FIT, although it sounds much more fun to me to study what I like at FIT. But hey, I got to plan things out since I am 24 already, and time goes by quickly!
Any opinions will be truly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
