FIT or SVA?

I'm interested in studying computer animation.
Location, cost, and the quality of education are my 3 primary concerns.

I want to stay in New York so I'm close to family and also to receive the in-state tuition bonus. I've done research on other schools such as Pratt, NYU, and RIT that have excellent programs for computer animation but the cost of attendance for these schools are out of my range.

So.. I'm down to two schools. The major difference between SVA and FIT is $$$. The yearly tuition for SVA is $14,070 and FIT is $3,714 (bc it's a SUNY). I'm leaning towards FIT but I think that I can get a better education at SVA. I was really impressed with their website (SVA BFA Computer Art Department), and it looked as though the school really takes pride in its computer arts program and the quality of its graduates. On the other hand, FIT didn't even have a separate home page for it's computer animation program. The curriculum looks similar to SVA's but I don't know if the quality of courses is as good.

I guess the question I'm asking is: is it worth it to pay 4x more to go to SVA instead of going to FIT? Any advice will be greatly appreciated!
