i just got off the phone with someone from admissions and he confirmed that all my materials have been received and that the admissions council view all the applications nov. 1 together & then applicants who submitted all materials before nov 1 will hear back dec 1.
@ialcrz what major do you apply?
@tiansiewxin i applied to fashion design
me too… I’m international student.
nice. @TianSiewxin hopefully we both get in. i read last year’s spring forum and some people heard back the 2nd last week of nov so hopefully we get ours early!
has anyone’s estimated cost of attendance changed yet?
@periodpooh nope its still 0. has urs changed?
@ialcrz mine is 6k im not sure if it was ever 0. I had to submit verification documents last week tho so my financial aid is still pending.
@periodpooh i had sent in my signatures for verification last week too but i guess its still being processed.
Where is the COA? Is it only seen if you filled out the FAFSA
@nic1001 when you got on MyFIT and check you application status there’s a link for the site map and with in that is your status of financial aid.
guyssss quick update. i rechecked my application status and i applied to the 2 yr AAS FD program and they changed it to 1 yr since i have about 40 art credits and 20 general ed credits. has anyone’s application changed? i’m sure that they have been checking my application so hopefully its a good sign.
i applied to the 1 yr AAS FBM program and i haven’t seen a change yet
nothing changed on my application
Where do you see COA on your app? Is it only if you apply for financial aid?
@jaybee95 if you go to “Application status” > “site map” (on the top of screen) > “status of financial aid”.
i seen it before i filled out my fafsa. if u applied and still see $.00, its okay. i still have some verification forms to fill out for them. i’m pretty sure if you haven’t done your fafsa or if its still shows up as $0, it doesn’t determine your admission decision. people still got accepted without fully completing fafsa before.
they finished the initial review of my financial aid and my COA dropped a little. Besides that, I don’t see any change. I doubt this means I got accepted or anything because I’ve had a cost of admissions for weeks now. Unfortunately theres no way to know if they even viewed my app.
guys some of us will probably receive our decision letter starting next week! fingers crossed
When I log into MyFIT now, it says my name in the top right corner where it used to be just my student ID. I dont know if that means anything but I know that wasnt there before…
Going to New York Thursday to tour and speak to an advisor. So nervous!!!
@jaybee95 did you see it on mobile or on a computer?
