in your financial aid tab do you guys have ‘Estimated Family contribution’ along with ‘Cost of attendance’? the EFC just appeared on my tab I believe.
FYI: COA is still 0.

I’ve always had the EFC
I called and they said they haven’t made a decision on my application yet. Do they say this if my application is rejected?? I don’t want to sound negative but I think they aren’t considering giving me the admission. He said I should hear something this week or early next week by Dec 3rd.
@niffler I don’t think you’re rejected, I called them today this morning and the guy said that I should know my decision either this week or Dec 1. They are currently reviewing my application; the reason why it took them long is because I applied for 1 year AAS program and they have to carefully look at which classes will be credited, whereas, for 2 year program its much faster to get notified because they only really look at GPA and essay. I also mentioned to him that I submitted all my application way before the Nov 1 priority deadline, so I should be able to know before Dec 1
I applied for a 2 year AAS program too but mine is fashion design, so I was requested to submit a portfolio along with the essay and my transcripts
Anyways, I am so scared now. I thought I’d receive something in the mail today and after calling, he said they haven’t even made a decision yet
Hi! I applied for fashion design. I called today and they said they are still reviewing my application and that I’ll get something by early December. I’m so scared cause I applied a year ago and got waitlisted and now I’m transferring so let’s see.
Well that’s makes me feel a lil better to hear that they are still reviewing the applications for Fashion Design. Ufff!
I 've heard that a lot of fashion design applicants have to wait a little longer because of the portfolio. Stay positive guys. I’m calling later.
Still nothing to me too. I’m getting really scared…
So when I called, they wouldn’t tell me if a decision was made or not. They told me they couldn’t give out that information. Only that I would hear something by December 1st. They didn’t ask my name or anything. It’s one of the shortest calls I ever had. I waited longer for the call to be answered.
Which number did you call ? (212) 217-3760 I’d suggest you to call this number. When I called, a guy picked up and asked me for my FIT number to check the status.
@silverquotes yeah same to me too . They didn’t ask anything about my information. They just said they send out the letter only by mail and there’s nothing I can do to hear the result right now.
That’s the one I called. Maybe I’ll try again later. I got a lady who seemed like she wanted to get me off the phone, and told me she couldn’t check anything. I know it said 15 min wait for calls, but I thought someone would at least give me more than 10 seconds.
@jennieieie It would be one thing if we wanted the decision over the phone. We just want to know if a decision has been made. Maybe I will re-word how I ask when I try to call again.
Yeah, I called them first thing in the morning. Try calling in this afternoon. May be somebody else will answer the phone this time around. I had also requested him if an email could be sent prior to the mail as I was an international student. He gave me an email ID and asked me to check with them if that’s possible.
I called this morning and a guy picked up, he was really nice. I think when I called last time it was a woman and she sounded like she didn’t want to speak to me. It really depends who you get, some are very patient and nice.
hey guys! I called today and they said that a decision has been made already but my COA is still $0. So it’s not looking too good ?
I applied for the 1 year AAS for AMC and i’m a transfer. BEST OF LUCK TO EVERYONE.
stay positive!!
