ok i just called…l.they said mine hasnt been reviewed yet
@FAILURE2LIFE don’t worry, just call again next week!
Hey guys do you think calling to see “if our application has been reviewed” is beneficial ? Or do you think they may not like that we’re kinda harassing them ? I’m just wondering all opinions excepted
i dont think you’re harassing them because if you just call once about ur status thats fine, if you call like 3x a week about your status then it can be pretty annoying. Just do it at a bare minimum. For me since i called today, i would just wait tell near Dec 1 to call again. I think calling them shows that you care
till near dec 1** (maybe on oct 28 or 29)
Nov 28-29****
Yea I think I should call them tomorrow… do you think that my pages are different with you is just because I’m an international student and financial aid applications are not available for us?
@evyyyyy the pages in your portal shouldn’t be different … but perhaps they are. On past forums I’ve read that some people who didn’t complete a fafsa application & international students couldn’t see their COA. But I’ve also read that financial aid and COA are different.
For the people who completed their fafsa application, have they reviewed your financial aid application? Or is it still pending?
@primadonna1, I was told it would stay pending until a couple days after acceptance that cost of attendance could change first.
My financial aid status says ‘default in spring 2019’, does that mean that I didn’t get in? Super nervous, I’m hoping they just haven’t reviewed my application yet
@wikamachine I think the default is just a placeholder. It doesn’t mean you were accepted or not accepted. It’s just something they put until they know if you are accepted. I was accepted into another college two weeks ago, and it had default until last week, and my college I am leaving now has default since I won’t be enrolling. It just pretty much means you not enrolled or have accepted admissions. Financial aid pretty much doesn’t know you are accepted until after the decision goes out since financial aid and admission aren’t in the same office. Sometimes they know before, but rarely. At both of my past colleges, they put a hold on financial aid until I was accepted, and all the other colleges I have applied to did the same thing. At every financial aid office, I have talked did it so they don’t have to do an award package multiple times or have to do one at all. If they do an award package for everyone, and they weren’t all accepted; they would be wasting a lot of time so it’s something just in place for now. So it doesn’t mean anything at this point until you have a letter in your hand or your award changes.
@wikamachine no it doesn’t mean you didn’t get in. The portal of some people never change. Just keep an eye on it until Dec. 1
its been days now since im trying to access the “site map” and it wouldnt let me… it would immediately log me out, is anyone having similar problems? i cant access the site map anymore
@FAILURE2LIFE yeah that happened to me all the time like I used to be able to not access it at all but when it gives the message click okay and then immediately hit the back button on the page and it should bring you to a log in page then you can access the site map
Yes I’m having the same log in problem too
When I try it on safari or internet explorer it doesn’t let me in but when I try it on chrome I can easily get in.
Any updates ??
Also guys should we start calling to see if our apps have been processed or just wait until next week Lowkey anxious lol
I sent my verification papers and within the day they updated my portal, but COA is still zero!! Im calling next week.
