FIU -> FSU transferable credits?

Hello all, this is my first post here. :)

I currently go to FIU, and i'm not quite happy here to say the very least.

I want to transfer to FSU as soon as possible..

Now my question is, can I just apply there for spring term or do I have to stay here a certain amount of years?

Any info is greatly appreciated and welcome

Thanks!

If FSU has spring admissions (most state universities do), you can apply for spring admission. You do not have to stay at FIU for any particular amount of time.

Tomorrow is Monday. If you aren't in class at 9:05 am, pick up the telephone and call the FSU transfer admission office. The people there will know what you need to do.

Wishing you all the best.

I've been enrolled in FIU for this fall semester, so would my time here be wasted?

How good do my grades have to be?

And, does the same also apply for UCF?

Cause I would prefer going to either of those schools.

You should try to get the best grades possible at FIU because those courses might transfer to your new school. Also, if you would decide to transfer again later, or if you eventually apply for graduate school you will have to have a copy of your FIU transcript sent to the schools you are applying to. You want to look as good as you can to those people too!

Since you are only in your first semester, and you want to change schools for the second semester, the admissions officers will mostly be looking at your HS grades and SAT/ACT scores. You need to find out what kinds of letters of recommendation they will need. I'm guessing that your HS teachers and guidance counselor should do for this, but you will need to check with UCF and FSU.

Get in touch with the admissions offices at UCF and FSU as soon as you can. They are the ones who will be able to tell you what to do next.
