I am currently situated on the island in Trinidad and Tobago. In the caribbean we do things a little bit different in terms of our education system.

In high school i did 7 CSEC Subjects and received 4 (1s), 2 (2s) and 1 (3)
I also did CAPE/A levels Unit 1 and got 2 (2s) 1 (3) and 1 (4).
A 1-5 counts as a pass.

I am about to do SAT Exam and would be getting 650+ on each section as long as things go according to plan which it has so far.

What are my chances of getting???

No clue, you should contact the Universities on your list, they should be able to give you more insight.

FIU has the largest by percentage (14%) of international students.

You may also want to look into the LAC Scholarship:

[UFIC - International Student Services](<a href=“University of Florida International Center”>University of Florida International Center)

“Under Florida statute 1009.21, full-time students from Latin America and the Caribbean (including Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands) who receive scholarships from the federal or state government qualify for in-state tuition. This provision of the law provides an opportunity to encourage the continued internationalization of UF and to attract more high-quality students from Latin America and the Caribbean.”

I believe this is not limited to UF, but would also work at FIU, USF and FGCU.

Here’s another link (FGCU) to look at:

[FGCU Undergraduate Admissions - Prospective Students](http://www.fgcu.edu/Admissions/Prospective/latinscholarship.html)

The scholarship is only $250 a semester, but it makes you qualify for in-state tuition, based on FS 1009.21. In-state tuition is about $6,500 a year, while out of state is $18,000 (FIU) to 28,000 (UF). I know UF also has a $250 scholarship (who’s goal is to make the student qualify as in-state). I would think USF/FIU also have something similar.

Good Luck!

Thanks for all the help, wow so glad i qualify for in state tuition. It is so much cheaper and reasonable. Can you give me any advice on admissions to FL schools and doing SAT?

University of Tampa and Eckerd college are also in Florida and have a lot of international students

Admissions for International students is complicated. :)

However, you should first check out UF’s website. Much of the info On UF’s site is applicable to the other Florida Universities:
